Product Warranty and Return Policy
Hergo, Inc. ("Hergo") Warrants to the original purchaser that its steel base products shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for life. All other products resold by Hergo, will carry the warranty terms and conditions of their respective manufacturer.
Should the product, in the opinion of Hergo management, malfunction during the warranty period, Hergo will repair or replace the product free of charge. Any replaced parts or products become the property of Hergo. This warranty does not apply to software or electronic component of the product nor to any product which has been subjected to misuse, neglect, repair, alteration, or use in a manner inconsistent with normal operation, including but not limited to: electrical irregularities, lightning or power-line related damage, incorrect or unauthorized installation, paint scratches or other unusual occurrences. This warranty does not cover normal wear-and-tear of products.
Any modification or alteration to the original system without the prior written authorization of Hergo shall make this warranty immediately null and void. If the product fails to meet the above warranty, Hergo will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace it under the following provisions:
- The product is returned with the copy of customer invoice.
- The product is shipped freight prepaid in safe and proper packing.
- The purchaser has been issued a return merchandise authorization (RMA).
- Inspection by Hergo confirms that the product is defective.
Repair parts and replacement products shall be furnished on an exchange basis and will be new or reconditioned. Any repaired or replaced product shall carry only the balance of the remaining original term of the warranty. No warranties, either express or implied, are extended to persons or other entities that are not the original purchases or who purchased the product in a used condition. The provisions hereof apply only to products manufactured by Hergo.
Where credit has been extended and original purchaser fails to pay in accordance with payment terms, all warranties set forth herein shall be immediately void.
Products requiring repair, return or exchange under warranty need a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. To obtain service under this warranty, contact Hergo technical support from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday Friday, EST at 888-222-7270 or by fax at 888-410-0671.
The RMA number must be clearly displayed on the outside of the shipping package. Hergo will not accept product shipped without an RMA.
Include the following information with the product you are sending back:
- Original or copy of your invoice. (Date of purchase must be stated in a clear manner).
- A brief description of the problem.
- The RMA number.
Product is shipped FOB Hergo plant and Hergo is not liable for damage to, or loss of, the product during shipping. When you receive a package you must first examine and unwrap the packing material to view the entire product. If you notice any visible damage, please refuse signing for the shipment. The freight carrier is responsible for shipping damage. When you open a damaged shipment, contact the shipping carrier immediately for inspection and recompense.
